Loom ImporterUpdated September 2026

Bring your Loom videos with you

Paste a Loom share link and it becomes a QuickSnip video, transcript and chapters included. Bring a team library over with one CSV, or bulk-upload downloaded files from the command line.

Three ways in, depending on what you are moving

One video at a time

Paste a link

One public Loom link in, one QuickSnip video out. It arrives with a fresh AI transcript, chapters, and a share page anyone can open without an account. Each video takes a few minutes.

Whole team libraries

Upload a CSV

Up to 50 links at a time on a Team plan. Each row names the video's owner by email, with an optional space to file it into. New people are added as members using seats, we never email them, and their videos are waiting when they first sign in.

Already downloaded your library

Use the CLI

quicksnip upload takes a whole folder of video files, paces itself, and resumes if it stops. It is the path that works for private videos too, because by the time they are on your disk they are just files.

How a link import works

1

Paste the link

Open Import in the dashboard sidebar, choose Loom, and paste a share link.

2

We fetch the video

The import uses the same public link you pasted. Nothing touches your Loom account, no password, no login, no browser extension.

3

It lands in your library

A normal QuickSnip video, transcribed and chaptered, ready to share from its own link.

What imports, and what can't

Every importer on the market has the same boundaries. Here is exactly where they are, so nothing surprises you halfway through a migration.

Links must open without a Loom login

Private, password-protected and SSO-gated videos refuse every link importer, ours included. Flip the video's sharing to anyone with the link, import it, then flip it back. Takes a moment per video.

Private videos have a path that always works

Download them from Loom and bulk-upload the folder with the QuickSnip CLI. No sharing settings involved, because the files are already yours.

Deleted and expired videos are gone

No importer recovers a video Loom no longer serves. If a link is dead, the video has to come from a downloaded copy.

Very large files are skipped, the rest continue

Videos over 600 MiB are reported and skipped. The rest of the batch imports normally, and every row's outcome is listed in a results file you can download.

Move while your Loom plan is active

Loom's own docs only offer video downloads on an active paid plan. If you are cancelling, import or download your library first, then cancel.

Questions people ask before importing

The honest answers, including the limits.

Import a video in the next five minutes

The window to move is while your Loom plan is still active. Start with one link and see the whole flow end to end.
